The OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry-level construction worker's general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site.
This course provides entry-level construction workers with a broad awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards, as mandated by OSHA standards.
Participants will learn to recognize, avoid, and prevent hazards on construction job sites and understand their rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA.
OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926.
Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 2 weeks that contains each employee's name, the signature of the Trainer, and the dates of Training, valid for life.
The certificate of completion is available for review by employees and their authorized representatives with the students Training Passport.
Training Passport is a digital Training history of a person's Training Records.
Students gain knowledge through lectures, group discussions, hands-on exercises, equipment demonstrations, and student participation.
Participants will be evaluated on their knowledge, skills and abilities during the learning seminar and will complete a final examination and are required to pass with an 80% or better.
No prior construction training or certification is required, but experience and a basic understanding of construction is helpful.
